HR Payroll Manager - New York
Description
- Processes weekly payroll, reports, reconciliations, payroll taxes, year-end procedures and W-2s for multi-state and international payroll
- Completes all time and attendance, payroll reports and benefit administrative functions including: garnishments, direct deposit, 401K loans, VOEs and unemployment inquiries
- Ensures legal compliance in completing all paperwork, including EEO reporting
- Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws regarding payroll administration.
- Understands issues regarding FMLA, ADA, LOA and Workers Compensation as it relates to payroll.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures as they relate to payroll.
- Processes all weekly, special compensation, commission, and bonus checks with the highest standard of accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintains, analyzes and implements the Companys 401K Plan as it relates to the payroll system.
- Counsel and resolve employee payroll issues
- Work with HR to improve/create processes on a daily basis
- Knowledge of HRIS, ADP HRIS a plus
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts Degree
- Minimum 7 years related experience
- Proficiency in MS Word & Excel
- Experience with ADP, PayExpert, EzLabor a plus
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters courteously and efficiently
- Excellent communications and customer services skills
- Able to multi-task and work under pressure
- MS Office
