Network Administrator/Engineer

Description
- Design, implementation and support of network infrastructure including firewalls, routers and switches
- Policy creation, management and documentation regarding remote user connectivity (VPNs, VPN tunnels)
- Configure/setup, maintain and troubleshoot internal servers automation of redundant processes
- Application and operating system tuning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Participate in infrastructure and capacity planning
- Provide technical support to project team members with assistance from existing technical support
- Installation of new Networking Equipment, Servers and Desktops/Laptops
- Provide solutions and work closely with helpdesk support staff to support day to day activities
- Perform routine server updates/patching and software deployments
- Recommend and implement modifications to the server environment, including troubleshooting and replacement of faulty system hardware
- Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Develop and document new project requirements, specs and development schedules
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Problem Solving and Trouble shooting as necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in area of specialty
- At least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Close attention to detail and ability to meet aggressive deadlines
- Creative and proactive
- Knowledge of Intranet and Internet Applications
- Strong initiative and the ability to work independently
- Great Problem Solving Skills
- Self starter/learner who can work independently and not get blocked, who is driven to solve problems
- Experience with Windows Enterprise, Clustering and Failover
- Ability to configure a VPN
- SQL Server, IIS Installation and tuning, and SQL replication experience
- Windows MCSE Certified
- Cisco Certified
- SAN Experience a plus
